[2021.10.13] Cammsys(050110, CEO Youngtae Park) announced that the company has signed a three-party MOU with Cevo Mobility(CEO Youngtae Park), a micro electric vehicle(EV) maker/Cammsys’ subsidiary, and Solum(248070, CEO Sungho Jeon), an electronic component maker, for the development and manufacturing of core parts for each business sector.
The signing ceremony, held at the conference room of Cammsys headquarters on October 12th, was attended by officials from the three companies, including Youngtae Park(Cammsys/Cevo Mobility CEO) and Sungho Jeon(Solum CEO). They reached a business agreement to develop/manufacture smart healthcare sensors/modules and create/verify mass-producing a new battery management system(BMS).
Regarding the smart healthcare sensors, Solum, which has developed sensor semiconductors, and Cammsys, with accumulated capabilities for modularization of mobile/IT parts, will team up for the project. The two firms will develop and produce smart healthcare sensor modules such as body temperature in wearable devices including smartwatches, wireless earphones, etc. Also, the two will work together in the sales activities in the future.
With respect to the EV BMS, Cevo Mobility and Solum aim to apply the BMS and battery to the next Cevo EV model. Cevo Mobility will provide detailed EV data and batteries and Solum use these to develop and test the battery system. The two companies, through this co-work, are to introduce a new BMS that can lower concerns about the EV battery safety and increase the efficiency as well.
Youngtae Park, Cammsys/Cevo Mobility CEO said, “We hope to bring a great achievement with the technology and know-how each company has. Also, we expect not only to improve technology but also to secure new revenue sources and grow with gradual strategic changes, including various co-work and open innovation.
Sungho Jeon, Solum CEO said, “I assume the advanced technology in the electronics field that we have can create such a big synergy with Cammsys/Cevo Mobility. We truly want this partnership to be a crucial step in strengthening the corporate capabilities as well as nurturing the smart healthcare sensor/EV industry.”
